In the Fishion & Robotics project, a grading line was developed together with Rapid Engineering.
The grader installation with Rapid Vision system classifies, measures and weighs the flatfish. Then the fish are pushed into chutes with pneumatically controlled arms installed on the conveyor belt.
On board the fishing vessel UK150 is a sorting line/grader, which recognizes the plaice and sorts them by weight. The advanced camera system with intelligent software detects the position of the flatfish. Next, the fish species is recognized and weighed via and high-speed 3D scan.
